          Novell Client v2.5 for DOS/Windows 3.1x is the latest DOS and Windows 3.1x
          client software release available from Novell. It supercedes all previous
          DOS/Windows 3.1x client releases. This client supports the Novell
          Z.E.N.works(TM) Starter Pack and is included with the Z.E.N.works product.
          The downloaded software is intended to be installed only from a network
          directory.

          The Novell Client v2.5 for DOS and Windows 3.1x allows users of DOS and Windows
          3.1x workstations to access and use all of the services available on NetWare(R)
          servers. The Novell Client brings the full power, ease of use, manageability
          and security of NetWare to DOS and Windows workstations. The Novell Client for
          DOS and Windows 3.1x fully supports NetWare services and utilities, including
          NDS(TM), integrated messaging, multiprotocol support, management, security, and
          file and print services.

          Novell Client for v2.5 for DOS and Windows 3.1x supports the Novell Z.E.N.works
          Starter Pack. The Z.E.N.works Starter Pack is available with the Novell Client
          v2.5 for Windows 95 or the Novell Client v4.3 for Windows NT*. Both of these
          clients are available for download on this site. A Windows 95 or Windows NT
          workstation is required to administer Z.E.N.works.

          The name Z.E.N.works stands for Zero Effort Networks. Z.E.N.works reduces
          the costs and complexities of maintaining network PCs and delivers zero effort
          networking for users. With Z.E.N.works, you can centrally create and manage
          policies and mandatory user profiles with the NetWare Administrator (NWAdmin)
          utility and NDS.

          Novell Z.E.N.works is server-based, directory-enabled workstation management
          software that lets you more efficiently manage your network's applications and
          Windows workstations, reducing network administration costs. Z.E.N.works
          incorporates the technologies previously offered as Novell Application
          Launcher(TM) and Novell Workstation Manager. The Z.E.N.works Starter Pack does
          not include some of the features in the complete Z.E.N.works product. These
          features, including remote control of workstation and the ability to create and
          manage the hardware inventories on individual workstations, are available only
          through the complete Z.E.N.works product. For more information on Z.E.N.works,

Electronic Download and Installation Instructions for Novell(R) Client(TM) v2.5 for DOS and
Windows* 3.1x (Network Installation)


Download Options
The Novell Client for DOS and Windows does not include the Z.E.N.works(TM) Starter Pack. 
To download the Z.E.N.works Starter Pack, download the Novell Client for Windows 95 (v2.5)
or Windows NT* (v4.3).  For more information on the Z.E.N.works Starter Pack, refer to the
download.txt file or www.zenworks.com.

The Novell Client for DOS and Windows 3.1x (Network Installation) is available for download
in a single self-extracting file (.exe).


Download Instructions
1) Create an installation directory (for example: sys:public\client\doswin32).

2) Select the software to download.
 
3) Click Accept and Download to accept the U.S. Export Restrictions.

4) Click the first HTTP Download option.

5) Save to the installation directory you created in Step 1.

6) In your installation directory, run the file you downloaded and follow the on-screen
instructions.  You are now ready to install the client software.


Client Installation
1) Complete the procedure in Download Instructions above.

2) For DOS installations 
        a) Run INSTALL.EXE

   For Windows 3.1x installations 
        a) From the File Menu in the Program Manager, click Run, 
         and then enter the path for the Client Installation 
         program (NLS\ENGLISH\SETUP.EXE).
 
3) Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
